MD Financial Advisors is a fast-expanding, independent financial planning firm. We are looking for intelligent, self-motivated individuals to join our team.

The interns we work with are thoroughly exposed to all aspects of our firm and the industry. By the end of the summer, they have been given general business skills transferable to any job. Interns get the opportunity to work with experienced advisors and high net worth clients. They will work with our whole team. Our interns contribute to real cases and sit in on client meetings every week. You will never be bored with this position!

Responsibilities:

Balancing multiple projects
Preparing documents for client meetings, including pre-filling paperwork
Shadowing and taking notes during client meetings
Researching and sharing information found with team members about industry topics and policy changes
Filing, scanning, and faxing documents
Assisting with general administrative duties and data entry
Participating in company events and being an active member of our team

Characteristics that Excel in this Position:

A sense of humor
Ability to work as a team player and individually as
needed
Experience juggling projects simultaneously
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Written and verbal communication skills
Excellent with details and getting projects done on time and under budget
The desire to learn and excel

This is position is for 30-35 hours per week paid hourly. Previous interns have later come aboard for full time positions. Hours can be flexible. We will ask for references and do a background check.

Job Type: Tuesday - Friday, 8am – 4:30pm most weeks

In Person/Remote Hybrid: The whole team is in office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with a work from home option on Thursdays and Fridays. Occasionally the team is asked to come into office on a hybrid day for an event or meeting.

Time Frame: May-August 2025 (start and end dates flexible)
Compensation: $18/hour
Experience: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or similar
Education: Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (required)
Location: Chanhassen, MN (required)
